At 6pm tonight, the contractor will roll in to begin renovations at the Prince George Public Library. Communications Coordinator Neil Godbout says there's been some shuffling to get ready for the change, but for the most part it's business as usual. He says it will be a little noisier, though most of the construction will happen later in the evening or after hours to lessen any disruption. The focal point of the project will be the new Sky Lab, an elevated work/study space with internet access. Godbout says the renovations have been completely funded by grants, donations and fundraising. In total the project is expected to take about eight week, wrapping up in the middle of April.
