The Spruce Kings used a strong first period to double up Trail 4-2 and get even closer to second spot in the Interior Conference. Gerry Fitzgerald scored twice in the opening 20 minutes to help give the Kings a 3-1 lead and they never looked back. The Kings took advantage of one of their games in hand on Merritt to move within a point of the Centennials. Sunday afternoon the Kings can take sole posession of second with a win in Salmon Arm. Puck drop is at 3:00.
